This was a fairly quick-turnaround piece for this weekend’s New York Times Magazine about the lot of girls in developing nations. The article states that despite women’s increasing power in those countries, sons are still favoured and girls are still “going missing” at an alarming rate. The whole magazine is devoted to women’s issues, so it should be an interesting read.
